Guided by the light

I had woken up early, looked out of the window and I could see snow up in the surroundings mountains. As the sun was rising, I could see the warm light tones of the cold winter morning bathing the mountains in the distance. It was time to go out and explore! I got in the car and started driving in the direction of the mountains. The views actually never revealed themselves as I was driving. I decided to park the car and set on foot instead. Still in the direction of where I could see the snowy mountains and the beautiful winter light ahead. It’s important to look around and watch what the light does, it’s tone and it’s interaction with the landscape and the clouds above. That’s precisely what I did on this occasion. I followed the light. Sometimes you get lucky and all the elements combine to produce a magical scene. The views of the snowy mountains in the background combined with the stunning morning winter light made up for a truly memorable scene.
